Rules for coaches and parents on the ice

08/23/07 12:08 AM (CST)
By Jean Osborne

USA and Minnesota hockey rules are that only certified coaches with helmets may be on the ice during practices. No parents or older/younger siblings may be on the ice at any level.  This is a liability issue and the rules will be strictly enforced.

If you are between 12 and 18 years of age you may qualify as a student coach after filling out the appropriate documents.  Please contact Mike Peterson or Pat Davis if you are interested in becoming a student coach.
