What happens at Parent Drop-in?

To complete the Registration process, please plan to attend one of the Parent Drop-in Sessions:

Saturday, September 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the New Ulm Civic Center in the upstairs conference room.

Monday, September 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the New Ulm Civic Center in the upstairs conference room.

*Note: date change* Thursday, September 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sleepy Eye Brewery.

EVERYONE PLUS RETURNING FAMILIES:

  1. Confirm we have all details right for your player(s) (team, birthday, information)

  2. Confirm jersey information (if applicable) and/or purchase a jersey (if applicable)

  3. Get Questions Answered...the NUSE Board members run the event and are all available to ensure your Player's season is great! Ask us any questions that you have!

RETURNING FAMILIES:

  1. Pick-up Meal Tickets (pasta or sauerkraut) (First-year families are encouraged to sell meal tickets, too!)

  2. Pick-up Gun Raffle Calendars (fundraising items). Each family will pick up and sign out at least 10 calendars. Calendars sell for $40 each. During the fall/early winter, there will be opportunities to turn in the calendar stubs and money collected. (First-year families are encouraged to sell calendars, too!)

  3. Drop off a "hold" check for full Volunteer Hours

RETURNING FAMILIES:

Bring your checkbook with at least four (4) blank checks.
(PLEASE PLAN TO USE A SEPARATE CHECK FOR EACH)

  1. Volunteer hours "hold" for the full volunteer hours and be sure to future date your check for March 1, 2025. Volunteer obligations are based on the oldest player in the family and their level of play. Returning families that have a new player, are required to work the hours applicable to the Returning Players Level of Play. This check is held until the end of the season and cashed if volunteer hours are not worked. (Squirt/10U and Higher = 36 hours at $30.00 per hour) (8U Youth/8U Girls = 20 hours at $30.00 per hour)

  2. Purchase meal tickets (pasta or sauerkraut). Tickets are $14.00 each, and each family is expected to sell at least 10 tickets. This check is cashed, therefore, the money you collect from selling the tickets does not get turned in.

  3. NEW 10U/Squirt and Up players and those needing a larger jersey size will need to write a check for Hockey Jerseys. Number selection will be prioritized by oldest level of player and order of registration entry. At Parent Drop-In, players can try on sample jerseys, select their number and the $135 jersey fee will be collected. For best fit bring your chest protector to the drop-in night.

  4. If you have a balance from unworked volunteer hours from the 2023-2024 season, you will need to write a separate check for the amount due.

Communication Reminder:

We are using the communication tags from the 2023-2024 season and will do so until we have finished our parent drop-in dates as part of registration for 2024-2025. Therefore, if you are a new family, you will receive emails from the Association once we roll over our communications to the 2024-2025 season.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact NUSE Communications at: nusecommunications@gmail.com

Happy Hockey!
