Midwest Mallards

Midwest Hockey is thrilled to announce that the Midwest Mallards will be hosting tryouts. (See level, dates and times below) This is a fantastic chance for your player to showcase their skills and join a program dedicated to helping young athletes reach their full potential.

Why Join the Mallards? The Midwest Mallards program offers a unique opportunity for players to grow as athletes and individuals. Here’s what we provide:

  • Skill Development: Practices designed to enhance individual skills and teach their application in game scenarios.
  • Season Structure:
    • Spring Season: Late March to the end of May (concluding before Memorial Day weekend).
    • Summer Season: Late July through the end of August.
  • Practice Hours: 20 hours per team.
  • Tournaments: 2 to 4 tournaments based on team and age level.
  • Cost: $1099-$1299 depending on the number of tournaments the team participates in.
  • Practice Locations: New Ulm and Mankato, with plans to expand if needed

Midwest Mallard's mission is to develop well-rounded players who excel both on and off the ice, demonstrating character, effort, leadership, and teamwork.

Game 7 Development Camp in New Ulm!

Join us for the New Ulm Skills and Development Camp!! This camp will focus on your player's individual skating and skills!

Plus...every player who signs up for camp will get a year FREE of The Project Hockey IQ Development program & the At-Home Skill Development Program. ($539.00 value) (click here for info)

Who:

  • Mites / WILL be 1st year Squirts or 10U
  • WILL be 2nd year Squirts or 10U / Peewee / 12U

Game 7 Camp consists of:

  • 4 hours of ON-ICE skill development
  • power skating and edge development
  • stick skill work
  • hockey concept focus
  • hockey IQ and decision-making

New Ulm Eagles Summer Hockey Camp

CAMP WILL CONSIST OF 10 HOURS OF ON-ICE TRAINING

WHO: We will have 2 groups boys and girls will be mixed

Group 1 will be players going into 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade next season, and Group 2 will be players going into 5th, 6th and 7th grade next season.

WHEN: Monday and Tuesday nights starting July 29th, 30th, August 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th 26th and 27th.

Group 1 5:30-6:30
Group 2 6:45-7:45 

WHERE: New Ulm Civic Center

COST: $225.00

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Camp will focus on individual skills development, skating, shooting, stick handling, Goalie development and small area skills.

* We will cap it off at 40 kids per group

New Ulm Summer Power Skating with Katy Jo Game 7 Camp

Join us for the New Ulm summer-long power skating development opportunity! Katy is a professional power skating coach who has worked with players from mites to the NHL. Katy will focus on the concepts below and help bring your players to the next level and get them ready for the 2024 hockey season!

* We are ONLY taking 26 skaters per group!
* Players are required to have their own gear and jersey.
* Danny Heath will be running the first session of the camp.

10U/12U Effort Grit and Grind Summer Training Camp

10U/12U Summer Camp Effort Grit and Grind Summer Training Camp in New Ulm

Week-long half-day hockey camp for incoming 10U girls and current 10U/12U girls, running each morning from July 29, 2024, to August 2, 2024.  

Perfect for players entering 10U, current 10U, and 12U Players.  Camp is focused on individual skill development, skating, shooting, puck skills, angling, and body positioning.

Instructors are New Ulm High School Girls Hockey staff members, as well as current and former Eagle Players. 

Camp will be limited to 30 players, registration is on a first-come basis.   

Daily Schedule:
7:45 - Arrive 
8:15 - 9:45 ice sessions
10:00 - morning break, drinks and snacks included
10:30 - Off-ice Training
11:15 - Dry land games
12:00 Dismissal.  

Price is $275.00 per player.  

Registration Deadline of June 30, 2024. Registration includes camp jersey, t-shirt, and the daily schedule listed above.
